Ambitious and creative chef wanted for Hotel in Nuuk

Hotel Nordbo and Nordbo in Centrum operate two restaurants in the heart of Nuuk - and we are looking for a passionate and stable chef with the potential to become a Sous Chef.

At Restaurant Tunit we serve Greenlandic bistro food with an international outlook – we play with local ingredients and dream of creating a natural gathering point for the city’s locals and hotel guests. Restaurant Aaveq is Nuuk’s first ambitious gourmet restaurant, where we open our doors 3 nights a week for an all-night experience where food, wine, art and Greenlandic culture merge. We dream of a trained chef who can combine creativity and passion with stable work and good humor. We strive for a healthy working environment with mutual respect and understanding.

The tasks are versatile and you will have the opportunity to contribute to developing the concept around:

  • Rethinking the classic breakfast buffet – what could it look like in Nuuk in 2026?
  • Meeting and conference catering – Hotel Nordbo has many international business guests who want to both get fed and have an experience.
  • The Greenlandic bistro – Tunit: Here we try out a lot of concepts from a la cate to theme nights and take away
  • Fine dining at Aaveq is our ambition to move up into the top league - here you get creative scope and the opportunity to test your skills in a clearly defined concept with high ceilings.

Both restaurants also host parties – small and large. We hope you will engage in dialogue with guests about their wishes and help put together the perfect menu for their event.

Working in Greenland is a once in a lifetime experience – some never return home. We are happy to help you get established in the city and can offer accommodation.
